Blender Painterly Diorama
Keep practising in #Blender. This time I dropped line art and wanted to achieve a #2D illustrative look with flat colours, no gradients etc. I used a very simple modelling as a base, textured it, and added some extra detail in Grease Pencil (grass, smoke, debris etc.) to break the cold, clean silhouette of the geometry. Trying to distillate an efficient workflow for #visualdevelopment and #artdirection . In this regards this experiment was only ok, can and will get faster of course, bt I've seen people achieving faster, fresher results sculpting in VR and only then importing in Blender. Blender Toon Shader Diorama
Playing with the wondrous #greasepencil in Blender, trying to bridge the gap between 2D and 3D. Still pretty rough around the edges but I see a lot of potential, and had ton of fun doing it. Loving this workflow so much. For the time being I've only used very basic meshes, drew on top of them in grease pencil, and used materials and toon shader to color the scene, there is no texture painting in this. Destiny 2: Lightfall- Neomuna Harbor Architecture
Concepts for the aerodynamic fin structures that line Neomuna's coast. My thinking was that as Neptune's intense atmospheric flow comes off the ocean and meets the shore, these structures would help channel it into the city where it would go through various turbines and intakes to generate power.
